Canoeing Through Quiet Mangroves

The Everglades' Halfway Creek is home to a large number manrgove trees that are an important nursery for young fish.
Halfway Creek
Halfway Creek is nestled in the southwest of Florida's Everglades National Park. The traditional swamp landscape gives way to a dense mangrove forest, which plays a crucial role in the health of the ecosystem. The fence-like mangrove roots provide a safe nursery for adolescent aquatic wildlife. But the hustle and bustle was all under the water's surface. From my canoe, it was nothing but peace and tranquility.
